Breaking News – Planning Approved – Let’s get the job finished!


At this afternoon’s planning hearing we were granted unanimous planning approval for the second part of the upgrade.  This includes the addition of 53 low level modular terrace units for the North and East sides of the ground and the relocation on the South East Floodlight Pylon.  In addition all 16 Luminaries will be replaced with more efficient focused units and the controls will be upgraded.

With planning in place, we are now able to push the button on these last two elements which have an 8 week leadtime at a total cost in excess of £120,000.

This work is in addition to the prior approval, which has already seen work commence on the relocation of one stand and a teabar, the addition of three new turnstiles, the provision of a telescopic players tunnel and the laying of approximately 1,000 new slabs as well as other minor works.  The total cost of the entire upgrade is over £150,000.

With all work now underway and due to be complete prior to the final FA Grading Inspection date of 31st March, the only thing that remains is to ensure the final funding is in place to pay for the upgrade.

The new Terrace Units are available for sponsorship.  Each modular unit is 2.4m wide and 2.1m deep, with 6 steps.  The back of each unit will accommodate a 3ft x 8ft groundboard and the units are available for £2,000 each with your groundboard a permanent fixture, as long as we are at Tatnam.
